Abstract
Inter-basin water transfer projects have important practical significance in exploitation and
utilization of water resources and optimizing water resources all ocation. To provide some reference for interbas in water transfer,
the spatial matching degree between water resources and population,GDP, landuse and
precipitation before and after water transfer was explored using Lorenz curve,Gini coefficient and unbalanced
index, for the middle line and east line intake area of South-North Water Transfer Project.Gini coefficient and
unbalanced index were found to have decline dafter water transfer, indicating that water transfer project had
promotional effect to ease unmatched situation in spatial matching of water resources, and to coord inate
development degree between water resources and other influencing factors. The present work will have
practical significan cein analyzing spatial matching of water resources in intake area of inter-basin water
transfer.
