Optimization of ellipsoidal capillary in micro-analysis

  • Transmission performance of ellipsoidal capillary is introduced. Performance of ellipsoidal capillarybasedon micro-analysis was studied. Changing laws of transmission performance with variation in tube length and interception position were simulated in conditions for point source and area source. Optimal conditions under 300μm area source for intensity gain of capillary were obtained. The semi-major axis was 250mm, semi-minor axis was 0.5mm, and tube length was 200mm, convergent spot size was 40μm and intensity gainwas175 within 100μm. Smaller convergent spot size and higher gain are obtained by using the ellipsoidal capillary, which can improve resolution successfully and adaptto material micro-fluorescence
