Abstract
To test association of a biallelic single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) with corresponding disease, a new test statistic based on exponential function summation of absolute values of trend tests (SEA) is constructed. Simulation indicates that SEA could control Type I error well and has good performance in all the genetic models. The proposed test statistic is applied to 17 SNPs associated with complex diseases, these SNP are found strongly associated with corresponding diseases.
