Abstract
The non-selective cation channel Piezo1 is sensitive to mechanical stimulation, permeable to calcium ions, and is evolutionarily conserved. Piezo1 regulates the proliferation, development and differentiation of multiple cell types. Recent works, including our own, have shown that Piezo1 regulates the differentiation and function of innate and adaptive immune cells and plays a key role in the remodeling of immune microenvironment and anti-tumor immune response. Recent works on Piezo1 regulation of major immune cells and tumor immunity are summarized.
