Abstract
The abnormal aggregation of Tau protein is an important cause for the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Since the seed effect of Tau protein aggregates was discovered, the formation, propagation and inhibition of Tau seeds have been widely studied, but specific mechanisms remain unclear. The complexity of Tau protein, the formation and spread of Tau seeds, and immunosuppression effect of Tau seed spreading were summarized. The possible mechanism of Tau seeds spreading was described, with certain clinical implications for the treatment of AD.
