New developments in scintillation detection technology for pulsed radiation detection

  • Pulsed radiation detection is an important tool for understanding and grasping the processes, nature and mechanism of nuclear reactions.It has important applications in the fields of nuclear reaction characterization, nuclear energy applications and national nuclear security.In this paper, we present the research status of ZnO:Ga, Yb:YAG ultrafast inorganic scintillators, metal-organic framework scintillators and metal halide perovskite scintillators, which have been developed in the field of pulsed radiation detection in recent years.The growth, radiation response characteristics, X-ray/γ-ray/neutron detection, imaging applications and photonic crystal technology of these scintillator materials are covered.The prospects for the application of these new materials and techniques in pulsed radiation detection are also presented.This mini-review will be useful for the study of pulse radiation detection technology, scintillation detection technology and transient nuclear diagnosis.
